OneWater PC2

OneWater PC2 (2024-2029)

Improving our knowledge of the hydroclimatic conditions of the past (from the 20th century to the present) and the present to better anticipate their future evolution

About the project

  • Funding: ANR (France) OneWater programme
  • Coordinators: Florence Habets (CNRS, LG ENS), Simon Munier (CNRM)
  • Partners: CNRS, Météo-France, BRGM, INRAE Antony & Lyon, Université de Lorraine, ANDRA, EDF

The kick-off meeting of the Targeted Project PC2 took place on 1 March 2024. The project presents three components, which aim to:

  • Improve knowledge and understanding of groundwater recharge through observation: lysimeter network
  • Improve knowledge of past hydroclimatic variabilities: reconstruction of data, data backup, meteorological reanalysis / human influences
  • Improve groundwater and flow forecasting: overall forecasting, data assimilation, taking into account human influences the river basins

The HYDRO team at INRAE Antony coordinates Part 3, with Météo-France.
